Additional settings of the wireless mode on the router Tp-link

настройка роутера tp-link

Additional settings of the wireless modes: transmit power, the beacon interval, the threshold on the router Tp-link.

If the settings on this page are the settings you do not know, it is strongly recommended to leave the values set by default because an incorrect parameter setting can reduce wireless performance.

Select the tab «Wireless» – sub-tab «Wireless Advanced» on the left side.

Additional settings of the wireless mode on the router Tp-link

Additional settings of the wireless modes: transmit power, the beacon interval, the threshold on the router Tp-link.

  • Transmit Power – Here you can specify the transmit power of the signal router. You can choose from: High, Medium or Low. The default setting is “High”, it is recommended to leave this value.
  • Beacon Interval – signaling blocks called packets that the router sends to synchronize the wireless network. Interval signal packet specifies the time interval to send signaling packets. You can set the values in the range of 40-1000 milliseconds. Default stated: 100.
  • RTS Threshold – Here you can set the threshold of RTS (request to send). If the packet is larger than the set threshold, RTS, the router will send RTS blocks on certain receiving station and negotiate the sending of data blocks. The default value is: 2346.
  • Fragmetation Threshold – This value represents the maximum size, after which the package will be subject to fragmentation. Establishing fragmentation threshold too low may lead to a decrease in network performance due to excessive number of packages. As recommended by the value requested to indicate “2346”; This value is set by default.
  • DTIM Interval – This value determines the sending interval “delivery notification Traffic” (DTIM). You can set a range of values between 1-255 signal packet intervals. The default setting is 1, which means that the DTIM interval equal to the interval of sending the signaling packet.
  • Enable WMM – WMM feature ensures the primary sending high priority messages. It is strongly recommended to enable this feature.
  • Enable Short GI – This function is also recommended, as it allows to increase the capacity by reducing the guard interval length of the strip.
  • Enable AP Isolation – Isolates all connected wireless stations so that wireless stations can access each other only via WLAN. This function is disabled when the WDS / Bridge mode.
