You can create on the “Access Control” page: the rules, the objective, schedule access to the Internet on your router Tp-link.

 

The router has a convenient and effective function of Internet access control and allows you to control access to the Internet network computers. In addition, by using the settings in the sections of the Host, Target and Schedule, you can create policies to restrict access to Internet resources for computer data.

Select the tab «Access Control» – sub-tab «Rule» on the left side.

Managing access control rules on the router Tp-link

You can create on the “Access Control” page: the rules, the objective, schedule access to the Internet on your router Tp-link.

  • Enable Internet Access Control – tick this box to enable Internet access control function, it will operate at “filtering rule by default.”
  • Rule Name – This field contains the name of the rule, which must be unique.
  • Host – Host, subject to a specified rule.
  • Target – The purpose, specified by the rule.
  • Schedule – Schedule defined by the rule.
  • Status – Press to activate the specific record.
  • Modify – Changing or deleting rules.

For example: If you want to allow the node with the MAC-address 00-00-22-33-44-AA to access www.google.com only site from 18:00 to 20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays and prohibit network access to other nodes Internet, you need to select the following settings:

  1. Go to the submenu Rule of Access Control menu on the left to get to the page list of rules. Select “Enable control Internet Access Control” and select “Allow the packets specified in the access control policy, to pass through the router.”
  2. We recommend that you click the Setup Wizard to complete all the following settings.
  3. Go to the submenu Host Access control menu on the left to get to the page a list of nodes. Create a new entry with the name of the node Host_1 and MAC-address 00-00-22-33-44-AA.
  4. Go to the submenu Target Access control menu on the left to get to the page goals list. Create a new entry with the name of the goal Target_1 and domain name www.google.com.
  5. Go to the submenu Schedule menu Access control to the left to get to the Schedule page of the list. Create a new entry with the name of the schedule Schedule_1 Day: Sub. and Sundays, the initial time. 1800 end time: 2000.
  6. Go to the submenu Rule Access control menu on the left, click the Add button to add the following new rules:
  • In the field “Rule Name” enter his name. Remember that it must be unique. For example: Rule_1.
  • In the “Host” select Host_1
  • In the “Target” select Target_1.
  • In the “Schedule”, select Schedule_1.
  • In the “Status”, select “Enable”.
  • To save your changes, click “Save”.

After that you will return to the “Manage Internet Access Control rules” and you will see the following table:

Click Setup Wizard, to create a record of the new rules.

Click the Add New button, to add a record of the new rule.

Click Enable all, to enable all the rules in the list.

Click the Disable All button, to disable all the rules in the list.

Click Delete All, to delete all records in the table.

Click Next to move to the next page, click Previous to return to the previous page.

Add or edit an entry for Internet access control

On this page you can create a new rule.

  • Rule Name – In this field, enter the name of the rule. Note that it should be unique.
  • Host – In this box, select the appropriate value from the dropdown list.
  • Target – In this box, select the appropriate value from the dropdown list. The default setting – “Any goal.”
  • Schedule – In this box, select the appropriate value from the dropdown list. The default setting – “Always”.
  • Status – one of two values can be selected in this field, “On” or “Off”. When selecting the first value typically will be used when selecting the second value rule will not be used.

Click Save to save the settings.

Press Back to return to the “Manage access control rules.”
