On this page you can create a rule parental control: Access to the sites, while on the router Tp-link.

 

The router has a handy parental control feature, which allows you to control children’s access to the Internet, prohibit visiting certain websites and restrict Internet access time.

Select the tab «Parental Control» from the left side.

  • Parental Control – Click Enable, if you want to use this function or Disable, if you do not use it.
  • MAC Address of Parental PC – In this field you can enter the MAC-address of the controlling PC or use the button next to Copy above.
  • MAC Address of Your PC – This field displays the computer’s MAC-address from which at the moment is tuned router. If the MAC-address of your network adapter is already registered in the system, then you can click “Copy the above” to copy it in the MAC-address of the controlling computer.
  • Website Description – Description of the site, permitted to visit the controlled computer.
  • Schedule – the length of time during which the monitored computer is allowed access to the Internet. For more information go to the section Access Control> Schedule.
  • Status – Activate a specific record.
  • Modify – Edit or delete the entry.

For example: If you want the computer-controlled MAC-address 00-11-22-33-44-AA had access to www.google.com on Sundays, and controlling a computer with MAC-address 00-11-22-33- 44-BB did not have any access restrictions, you must make the settings in accordance with the instructions given below:

  1. Go to the Parental Control section in the left menu to get to the “Parental Control Settings”. Click “Add” and enter the MAC-address 00-11-22-33-44-BB in the MAC-address of the controlling computer.
  2. Go to Access Control> Schedule in the menu on the left to get to the settings page Timetables. Click the Add … button to create a new schedule. Set “Schedule Name” Schedule_1 day: Sundays, while “every day – 24 hours.”.
  3. Click Parental Control on the left menu to return to the “Parental Control Settings”:
  • Click Add ….
  • Enter 00-11-22-33-44-AA in the MAC-address of the controlled computer.
  • Allow Google to enter in the Description field site.
  • Type www.google.com in the Name field the permitted site.
  • Select the schedule you created from the drop down list Schedule_1 Working hours.
  • Under Include, select the “Enabled”.
  • Click “Save” to save the settings.

Then, returning to the parental control settings page, you will see the following list:

Click the Add New button to create a new record parental control ..

Click Enable All to enable all the rules in the list.

Click the Disable All button to disable all the rules in the list.

Click Delete All to delete all entries in the table.

Click Next to move to the next page, click Previous to return to the previous page.

Add or edit an entry parental control

The router has a handy feature parental controls that allows you to control children’s access to the Internet, prohibit visiting certain websites and restrict the time to access the Internet. On this page you can create a rule.

  • MAC Address of Children’s PC – Enter the MAC-address of the computer that you want to monitor. In the “All MAC-addresses on the LAN of the current network” you can make a choice. If you leave the field empty, the rule will apply to all computers, except the controlling computer.
  • All MAC Address in Current LAN current network – Pressing this button drop-down, you can see the MAC addresses of all computers in the current network. Choose one MAC address, and it will be listed in the field “the MAC address of the controlled computer.”
  • Website Description – In this field, enter the description for the site, which must be unique.
  • Allowed Website Name – In this field you can specify the 8 domain names to which access will be permitted. You can enter a name entirely, and keywords (for example, google). Access will be allowed for any domain name with a keyword in the title (www.google.com, news.google.com, etc.).
  • Effective Time – In this field, you can set the working time rules, as well as using Access Control Menu> Schedule to schedule at its discretion. The default value is Always.
  • Status – In this field, there are two options: Enable or Disable. Enabled indicates that the rule is working; Disabled means that the rule will not be used by the system.

Click Save to save the settings.

Press Back to return to the “Parental Control Settings”.
