On this page, you can create and change the rules for the Port Triggering: Trigger Port, Trigger protocol, incoming protocol, the state on the router netis.

 

The default gateway blocks all incoming requests for a connection. The mechanism of the Port Triggering function lies in the fact that when a specific event dynamically open ports on its external interface and bind them to the appropriate ports on your computer in a local network. Such an event is sent from the computer network packet to a specified port (Trigger Port) somewhere in the external network. A number of applications such as online gaming, video conferencing, Internet telephony etc., require the presence of multiple connections. Port Triggering is used for some of these applications that can not work with NAT-router.

Port Triggering on the router netis WF2501

On this page, you can create and change the rules for the Port Triggering: Trigger Port, Trigger protocol, incoming protocol, the state on the router netis WF2501.

  • Port Triggering Rule Settings (Port Triggering).
    • Predefined Rule (Predefined Trigger Rules) – There are a number of frequently used applications. When you select the application will auto-complete fields “Trigger Port” and “Incoming ports.” This would be tantamount to creating a new rule.
    • Description  – A brief description of the new rule.
    • Trigger Protocol – This is the protocol used by the trigger ports. Values: TCP, UDP (all protocols supported by the router).
    • Trigger Port – This is a port for outgoing traffic. The outgoing connection through this port to activate the rule.
    • Forward Protocol – The protocol used for incoming port. Options: TCP, UDP (all protocols supported by the router).
    • Forward Port – This is the port or port range used by the remote system when responding to an outgoing request. Request through one of these ports will be redirected to the computer, activate this rule.
    • The Add button the rule.
  • Port Triggering List. 
    • The list shows the rules Port Triggering.
    • Button Modify and Delete  tend Port Triggering.
    • Button Delete All rules Port Triggering.
